Lucille Jamison

Lucille Jamison was born December 16, 1934 To Arlillian Forte (Burton) and Clifton Colvin in Marshalltown, Iowa.

As a young woman, Lucille moved to Des Moines with the intention of furthering her education. She was a graduate of Drake University with a bachelors degree in Social Work. She worked over 30 years at Broadlawns Medical Center. She could handle the most difficult cases with ease and find solutions to situations that made sense to every one.

When Lucille came home from a long days work, she liked to spend time with her grandchildren. She relaxed by sitting in the yard watching her daughter work in the garden; or watch some football, basketball or boxing on the TV. Lucille loved to sing and for years she sang with the choir at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, where she was a member. Another of Lucilles favorite things to do was play pool. She was on several pool leagues and was quite the pool shark. She would beat the pants off you and smile at you all the while. She loved her brother Jerry and talked to him on a daily basis.

On July 30, 2017, Lucille made her peaceful transition at the age of 82. Preceding Lucille in death were her son, Richard Jamison; her parents, Clifton Colvin and Arlillian Colvin; and her granddaughter, Crystal Jamison.

Left to cherish Lucilles memory are her daughter, Sandra Jamison; her grandchildren, Alicia Jamison, Justin Jamison, Jeremy Jamison and Armond Jamison along with a host of extended family and friends.Visitation
