Malik Allen Rucker

February 25, 2000 ~ April 9, 2018 (age 18)

Malik Allen Rucker was born on February 25, 2000 to Famous Rucker Sr. and Kimberly (Lux) Rucker in Sioux City, IA.  At the age of 12, his family moved to Des Moines where he attended Lincoln High School.

Malik was an all around young man.  A student athlete, Malik played for the Lincoln High School basketball, football and golf teams.  He developed a strong work ethic as he had been employed at Frozen Custard, Centro and the Iowa State Fair during different times of his life.  However, his work ethic did not interfere with his free time activities.  Malik enjoyed playing video games, taking selfies and traveling with his family.  He also had an eye for fashion, especially for Nike sneakers and long socks.  His shoes, socks and his clothes had to coordinate!  And lets not forget the You Tube videos!  Malik’s playful spirit will forever live on through his comedy skits he uploaded for all to see.  It was like he left behind a piece of himself as a gift.

On April 9, 2018 Malik was called to be with the Father. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Ronald Rucker Sr.; great grandparents, June O’Hara, Olive Lynn, Mable Treglia, Lawrence Lux, and Maria Crutchfield and several cousins.
